KID DRIP is a young hiphop artist. He is known for his unique sound. People say his sound is a mix between punk & hiphop. He likes to make music that can help people. He claims that he wants to impact the world like his legends. The artist himself once said " I dont make regular music, i make prescriptions" You may wonder where he gets his name from. He described that the "KID" was to symbolize he started everything at a young age. The "DRIP" was defined as the way you present yourself and stand out from others. In his town he said "KID DRIP basically means the kid who isnt scared to be himself". You might see him throw up 3 fingers in his pictures. This is NOT a gang sign. He throws the 3 up to resemble 333, which stands for his 3 legends. The 3 people that inspired him to make music. Those people are Juice Wrld, Trippie Redd, and Xxxtentacion. KID DRIP had a rough life growing up. His parents split up when he was only 4 years old. Growing up with his mom and siblings was rough sometimes but it never stopped him. He was always crying at a young age because he missed his father. Now, things have gotten better. He learned to get used to it. He kind of grew numb to it. Growing up, KID DRIP was always playing music. He didn't think anything of it at first. All he knew was that he loved playing it. Every weekend he went to a small town that people call "Mini Chicago" because of the crime rate. Going there every weekend lead to the rap influence on him. He liked rock before which helped inspire his grudgy sound, then came rap. That is where the 3 legends came in. He always played the same 3 artists. Those 3 legends inspired KID DRIP to make his own music. He loved the idea of helping other people mentally with his powerful lyrics. At only 8 years old, KID DRIP wrote a poem for a friend that lost his father and it brought his mother to tears. This showed KID DRIP that he had something special. Soon after, he started researching how to make his own music. He was made fun of at first because his music wasnt the best quality. Now after 6 years of hard work, he mixes his own music, makes his own art covers, and even makes lyric and music videos. KID DRIP is very independent and doesnt have many people to help him. KID DRIP has worked so hard from being a young boy from Illinois, to being an impactful hiphop artist. Now after all of that, he is where he stands today.
