Born- 22August, 1925 Golaghat.

Died- 3May , 2002.

He wa a Assamese journalists and writers. He worked as a editor of Assamese daily newspaper Dainik Asom for long period of since 1965.In 1988 he was president over Hailakandi session of assam sahitya sabha.During the period from 1956 to 1961 he served the All India Radio as a senior officer .
