RITA KHETRI CHETRI (born 07 Dec 1990) is a Nepali playback singer and Hindustani musician. In a career spanning over two decades, she has recorded over 5,000 songs in Nepali language, as well as foreign languages such as Hindi, Arabic, Bengali and English. She is also known for her extensive history of collaboration with the greatest music composers in Nepal and India over the years.
She is cited as the Voice of Nepal by Nepal's Prestigious _______ in 2001 and Melody Queen of Nepal by ________in 2016. She is honoured with a Honorary Doctorate in Music by the Thames University, France In 2023.
Rita KC is a recipient of several awards, and 36 different provincial awards from the seven provinces of Nepal. She was awarded Nepal's third-highest honours for her valuable contributions towards the Nepal musical fraternity.
She performed live at all European Union Country’s for the consecutive years in 2021, 2022 and 2023 during the National festival of Nepal celebrated in the Country’s of European Union by the expatriate Nepali community. Her Performance was applauded with much appreciation by a roomful of an international audience as the honoured guest of the Nepali Ambassador during her Performance in Poland.
