    While evaluating the Wikipedia article that I chose, the thing that stuck out to me the most was how this article had a lack of explanation and information about the topic, “dress code”.  Many Wikipedia articles that I have read had an abundance of information regarding the particular topic. In contrast, this article had a lot of room for new information. With this being said, I thought the article to be extremely neutral without much bias at all. However, this neutrality could in fact be a result of the lack of information and discussion about this topic. I believe that all of the points that the author discusses in this article could be expanded upon greatly. In particular, gender and education and how they are effected by dress code could be discussed and researched in much greater detail.  
     As far as the citations go, the author had seemed to have found very neutral and educational websites to pull her information from. With that being said, many of these websites are out-of-date and are no longer available to view, or require a log-in that many Wikipedia users do not have. There are eight total citations that the author used to pull information from. One aspect that I would like to edit on this article, would be to add more recent and more assessable citations that people would not likely question. 
     On the article’s discussion page, there are many discussions from other Wikipedia users that discuss how this particular article is poorly written and organized. A few people also left complaints about how the article isn’t necessarily biased, but is ethnocentric because it only discussed different American dress codes, and not a variety of culture’s dress codes. 
     This particular article is involved in the Wiki Project Fashion. It is rated as a smart class article, meaning that there is a lot that people can add to this article in order to enhance it and make it more usable to all Wikipedia users. 
      While thinking about how Wikipedia discusses dress code in comparison to how we would discuss dress code in “Women and Gender Studies Class”, I thought that the Wikipedia approach was much broader. In class, we would predominantly discuss dress code in a way in which it effects gender and technology, and the repercussions that certain dress codes could have on gender and technology in our society. However, this Wikipedia article discusses several other topics that dress code could affect such as education, social class, and occupation. While I do like to learn about the different affects that dress code could have on many different elements of society, I think that it is very interesting to learn more about how dress code effects the way that we, as a society view gender and how this view could possibly effect technology as well. When editing and adding to this article, I hope to be able to add more information about how a dress code both determines and effects the view of gender in the twenty-first century.
