(Redirected from User:Jubileeclipman/List of problematic 21st-century composer articles)
These are taken from List of 21st-century classical composers. A-E problem articles have been dealt with over at WP:CTM (though others may surface). (I am going to review A-E again and add problem articles here.) Note to self and other interested parties: Where some are removed from the list (because they are not classical or "contemporary" etc), don't forget to remove any talkpage banners linking to WP:CTM or where ever.

sea of red and needs other cleanupActually not as bad as I first though: it just needs inlines and the book verifying plus more sources if possible. --Jubilee♫clipman 19:21, 3 February 2010 (UTC) - Joseph Fitzmartin -
BLP unsourcedNote: Source now added but article is virtually verbatim from the source. Have tagged with {{close paraphrasing}} and will reduce to stub if not re-written in 24 hours. Notability extremely marginal. Voceditenore (talk) 18:30, 13 January 2010 (UTC) Update - reduced to stub, tagged {{primarysources}}. Voceditenore (talk) 07:02, 15 January 2010 (UTC) - Tom Flaherty (composer) - Rather than Tom Flaherty...
- Philip Flood (composer) - rather than Philip Flood (diplomat)
- Carlo Forlivesi - no inline citations

BLP unsourcedNote: added official biography and tagged for {{primarysources}}. Voceditenore (talk) 17:52, 13 January 2010 (UTC) - John Frandsen (composer) -
BLP unsourced (and there is no conductor)Note: expanded and referenced. The John Frandsen (conductor) article was deleted for copyvio, but he too is notable and should have an article.Voceditenore (talk) 12:29, 13 January 2010 (UTC) Fabio Fresi - NN? Note: tagged for speedy delete - blatant copyvio. Voceditenore (talk) 18:38, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Gone. Thanks Voc, --Jubilee♫clipman 03:32, 23 January 2010 (UTC)- Don Freund -
BLP unsourcedNote: erroneously tagged, has a source, but I've reduced it to a stub, blatant copyvio. Probably notable, but needs further independent sources. Voceditenore (talk) 12:48, 13 January 2010 (UTC) Aaron Funk - redirects to Venetian Snares who appears to be a non-classical musicianRemoved from list (please verify as non-classical)

BLP unsourcedODM --Kleinzach 07:35, 27 January 2010 (UTC) Update requested further sourcing (though ODM is a good start) --Jubilee♫clipman 23:46, 1 February 2010 (UTC) - Gilles Gobeil - BLP unsourced and COI

BLP unsourcedODM --Kleinzach 07:51, 27 January 2010 (UTC) Could do with more but ODM good for starters --Jubilee♫clipman 20:39, 3 February 2010 (UTC) Bengt Hallberg - BLP unsourced; also, jazz rather than classicalRemoved from list (please verify as non-classical: he may have actually written a few notable classical works as it turns out)- Peter Michael Hamel - BLP unsourced (or rather the only "source" is his own book)

beyond list of works- the link seems to be dead now (and in Czech so I can't really go much further with it): verify please. --Jubilee♫clipman 20:45, 3 February 2010 (UTC) - Edward Harper (composer) - rather than Edward Harper (engineer) . Almost certainly meant to be the ex-Reader of Music at Edinburgh University as seen here rather than the electro-punk musician or the fugitive. (I knew Ed Harper from University, BTW. He died of cancer in 2009.)
- Kevin F. Harris - BLP poorly sourced
- Jonty Harrison - BLP
unsourced andCOI ODM --Kleinzach 07:55, 27 January 2010 (UTC) - Still COI and needs more verifiable RSs - Lou Harrison - unclear citation style using ibid and mixing Harvard-style with linked footnotes and inline external links. The inlines are pretty lacking anyway. ODM --Kleinzach 07:59, 27 January 2010 (UTC)
- Svatopluk Havelka - single source, and that in Czech
- Hikaru Hayashi - BLP poorly sourced (mainly Japanese with one list of works in English)

BLP lacking decent inlines and in need of better sourcingODM --Kleinzach 08:12, 27 January 2010 (UTC) - update a lot of work has gone into this article since I last checked it: refs better and inlines ok. Please verify and give ok to remove from this list --Jubilee♫clipman 21:12, 3 February 2010 (UTC) - John S. Hilliard - BLP poorly sourced/cited
- Christopher Hobbs - BLP poorly sourced and with multiple other issues

- Josef Maria Horváth - BLP poorly sourced
- Egil Hovland - BLP unsourced ODM --Kleinzach 08:23, 27 January 2010 (UTC) The top two books in the list are not by the subject so these count as RSs too; needs more English sourcing though --Jubilee♫clipman 21:22, 3 February 2010 (UTC)

- Zoltán Jeney - BLP unsourced
- Tom Johnson (composer) - BLP poorly sourced; non-dead links are all primary sources; no inlines
- Fergus Johnston - BLP unsourced (though tagged as ref improve because of his official site); his notability is also not established; also a rather odd see also section...
- Betsy Jolas - BLP stub in need of expansion ODM --Kleinzach 05:39, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

- Imants Kalniņš - BLP unsourced

- Shigeru Kan-no - BLP unsourced (his website has vanished and the other site is undergoing a redesign, but even if they are relinked correctly other sources would need to be found)
- Giya Kancheli - BLP needing more inlines and better sourcing ODM --Kleinzach 05:46, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
- Nikolai Kapustin - inaccurate multi-tag (only one tag) but needs better sourcing
- Richard Karpen - BLP mainly based on primary sources
- Yury Kasparov - BLP possibly lifted from Living composers project, though concentrating mainly on the several versions of his name (!); poorly sourced, too;
possibly non-notablecertainly notable (see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Contemporary_music#Yury_Kasparov for more) - Update - this has been extensively revised but still needs more. It now sits at Yuri Kasparov. - Georg Katzer - BLP with single source (though a good one) and simply translated from German Wiki Update - Jerome Kohl has expanded and sourced from German publications; we could do with a few more English sources if possible but this is a good start --Jubilee♫clipman 22:05, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hiba Kawas - BLP requiring cleanup and better citation
(the tag is actually wrong, BTW)I updated the tag --Jubilee♫clipman 22:09, 3 February 2010 (UTC) - Alison Kay - BLP unsourced and orphaned

no real problem beyond a weird tag near the bottom.../...which is explained on the talk page.ODM --Kleinzach 06:12, 28 January 2010 (UTC) - Ah! That explains it. There was a major edit war after MLobanova (talk · contribs) added a fair amount to balance up the article but a lot still needs to be done to help it. - Alastair King - BLP stub unsourced
- Hikari Kiyama - BLP poorly sourced and requiring major cleanup

- Johannes Kretz - BLP with multiple issues: notability, COI, resumé, all since 2008
- Gary Kulesha - minor cleanup
- Petri Kuljuntausta - cleanup but I suspect copyvio too because of formatting and lack of birth etc info in lead. Please check urgently! Update - Random check suggests this as one copyvio source, at least. Further update - Digimedialfa (talk · contribs) is creator and near-exclusive editor who also created the related page Aureobel.
- Andreas Kunstein - BLP unsourced
- Ladislav Kupkovič - BLP needing more sources (Grove only so far) and inlines
- György Kurtág - BLP with single source tag and a mergefrom tag. ODM and I've removed the merge tags. Kurtág seems to be important. --Kleinzach 23:53, 1 February 2010 (UTC) I quite agree: Kurtág is pretty important. I've tagged the article for more inlines. (Only one of the numerous sources is actually cited inline which probably caused the "single source" tag to be added) --Jubilee♫clipman 00:45, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
