User:Iadmc/List of problematic 21st-century composer articles

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

These are taken from List of 21st-century classical composers. A-E problem articles have been dealt with over at WP:CTM (though others may surface). (I am going to review A-E again and add problem articles here.) Note to self and other interested parties: Where some are removed from the list (because they are not classical or "contemporary" etc), don't forget to remove any talkpage banners linking to WP:CTM or where ever.

  • Mauricio Kagel - citation style unclear and several citation needed tags ODM --Kleinzach 05:42, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
  • Imants Kalniņš - BLP unsourced
  • Alexander Kaloian - no inline citations and in need of cleanup
  • Shigeru Kan-no - BLP unsourced (his website has vanished and the other site is undergoing a redesign, but even if they are relinked correctly other sources would need to be found)
  • Giya Kancheli - BLP needing more inlines and better sourcing ODM --Kleinzach 05:46, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
  • Nikolai Kapustin - inaccurate multi-tag (only one tag) but needs better sourcing
  • Richard Karpen - BLP mainly based on primary sources
  • Yury Kasparov - BLP possibly lifted from Living composers project, though concentrating mainly on the several versions of his name (!); poorly sourced, too; possibly non-notable certainly notable (see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Contemporary_music#Yury_Kasparov for more) - Update - this has been extensively revised but still needs more. It now sits at Yuri Kasparov.
  • Georg Katzer - BLP with single source (though a good one) and simply translated from German Wiki Update - Jerome Kohl has expanded and sourced from German publications; we could do with a few more English sources if possible but this is a good start --Jubilee♫clipman 22:05, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Hiba Kawas - BLP requiring cleanup and better citation (the tag is actually wrong, BTW) I updated the tag --Jubilee♫clipman 22:09, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Alison Kay - BLP unsourced and orphaned
  • Donald Keats - BLP poorly cited and requiring expansion
  • Nigel Keay - BLP unsourced (all inline ELs are from his own website)
  • Daniel Kellogg - BLP poorly sourced
  • John Kenny (trombonist) - BLP poorly sourced from primary sources only
  • Tikhon Khrennikov - Copyedit and check balance and tone no real problem beyond a weird tag near the bottom.../...which is explained on the talk page. ODM --Kleinzach 06:12, 28 January 2010 (UTC) - Ah! That explains it. There was a major edit war after MLobanova (talk · contribs) added a fair amount to balance up the article but a lot still needs to be done to help it. Copyediting the additions would be a good start... --Jubilee♫clipman 02:09, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Wojciech Kilar - BLP poorly cited and requiring better sources (reasonable article actually)
  • Alastair King - BLP stub unsourced
  • Hikari Kiyama - BLP poorly sourced and requiring major cleanup
  • Phil Kline - BLP poorly sourced
  • Alexander Knayfel - BLP needing more sources and citation
  • Akil Mark Koci - BLP poorly sourced and requiring cleanup
  • Hans Kockelmans - BLP stub poorly sourced
  • Graeme Koehne - citation style unclear (bio needs far more inline) ODM --Kleinzach 06:19, 28 January 2010 (UTC)
  • Gottfried Michael Koenig - BLP poorly sourced (own page and one German page) ODM --Kleinzach 06:19, 28 January 2010 (UTC) update I cleaned this up a little and removed the pointless See Also; if OK, I'll remove from list --Jubilee♫clipman 22:35, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
  • Jan Koetsier - poorly sourced (German plus one deadlinked PDF)
  • Panayiotis Kokoras - BLP poorly sourced (Greek and French)
  • Jo Kondo - BLP poorly sourced (mainly) from primary sources
  • Mark Kopytman - needs Wikifying and cleanup (especially a clear lead)
  • Constantine Koukias - BLP poorly cited
  • Zygmunt Krauze - BLP poorly sourced
  • Joseph-François Kremer - BLP to be expanded from French
  • Johannes Kretz - BLP with multiple issues: notability, COI, resumé, all since 2008
  • Gary Kulesha - minor cleanup
  • Petri Kuljuntausta - cleanup but I suspect copyvio too because of formatting and lack of birth etc info in lead. Please check urgently! Update - Random check suggests this as one copyvio source, at least. Further update - Digimedialfa (talk · contribs) is creator and near-exclusive editor who also created the related page Aureobel.
  • Andreas Kunstein - BLP unsourced
  • Ladislav Kupkovič - BLP needing more sources (Grove only so far) and inlines
  • György Kurtág - BLP with single source tag and a mergefrom tag. ODM and I've removed the merge tags. Kurtág seems to be important. --Kleinzach 23:53, 1 February 2010 (UTC) I quite agree: Kurtág is pretty important. I've tagged the article for more inlines. (Only one of the numerous sources is actually cited inline which probably caused the "single source" tag to be added) --Jubilee♫clipman 00:45, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
