Stuff goes here about me... but hasn't yet. Don't worry, it's going to come. When I get some time. I promise. Really. Jtodsen (talk) 13:09, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
I am a professional political scientist. I hold a PhD (from the University of New Mexico) in the field with an emphasis on American politics. I do research in an area called American Political Development (APD). APD is a relatively new field within American politics that emphasizes the importance of history and the development over time of various things within American government. I study the presidency specifically, but have recently been interested in the development of electoral processes and changes in Congressional power as well. I'm also interested in patterns of public political behavior, such as the rally-around-the-flag effect.
Currently I am a Visiting Assistant Professor of Politics at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Jtodsen (talk) 21:06, 5 September 2011 (UTC)
