Hi my name is Jordan Shankroff. I am currently a student at the University of Pittsburgh going for my master's degree in Information Science with a specialization in Human-Centered Computing. So far in the program, I have taken courses on Java, Human Factors in Information Design, and Human Information Processing.
Before attending the University of Pittsburgh, I graduated from Lebanon Valley College receiving my B.S. in Digital Communications. During my time at Lebanon Valley College, I accumulated knowledge in six core fields, which were user experience, programming, design, communications, business, and videography. The areas I was most interested in were user experience, and using HTML and CSS for web markup. I also had the opportunity to study abroad during a summer semester at Lebanon Valley College, where I studied at Maastricht University in the Netherlands.
During my undergrad, I completed an internship, which gave me very valuable experience. During this internship, I created brochures and flyers for the cosplay I was working with using both Illustrator and Photoshop, which were then sold during their events. I also did some freelance work for a company located near my hometown, where I took down and redesigned their existing webpage to make it significantly better.
