Star Trek: The Original Series Remastered, sometimes called simply Star Trek: Remastered, is a relaunch of the original Star Trek science fiction television series, with updated special effects and in high definition, to celebrate the franchise's 40-year anniversary. It was released to syndication in the United States beginning in September 2006. It is produced by David Rossi. The official title of the program remains Star Trek, although it is referred to as Remastered on Startrek.com (an official CBS Studios Inc. site), and elsewhere, to distinguish it from its original format.
