Arguments within the Salsa Soul Sisters resulted in the disbanding of Salsa Soul sister into two groups, Las Buenas Amigas (Good Friends) made for Latinas, and African Ancestral Lesbians United for Societal Change made for African-diaspora lesbians. [1]

After the tragic 1906 earthquake that struck San Francisco, Dash, one of the first transgender welcoming bars in the city (1908,) featured female impersonators entertaining guests, as well as the buying and selling of homosexual sex.
