Joseph E. Palaia IV
Joe holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from NJIT and a MS in Nuclear Engineering from MIT. He is adept in interpreting the latest in science & technology, with expertise in robotics and business development. Joe was recipient of the 2005 Peter Diamandis Leadership Award and the 2007 Nepolitano Award for space industry entrepreneurism. He served as XO and chief engineer for a one-month simulated Mars mission in 2009 at the Flashline Mars Arctic Research Station (FMARS) on Devon Island in the Canadian arctic, where he become the first person in history to launch and operate a UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) while wearing a simulated space suit.
