I will be primarily updating the sections of High fructose corn syrup regarding its relation to beekeeping and public relations, although a couple sources also mention health issues related to consumption of high fructose corn syrup. One issue which I didn't see touched on as much in the health section was HFCS's connection to cardiovascular diseases, which is mentioned in a couple sources.
BEEKEEPING Possible connection between CCD and bees being fed HFCS from GMOs. Higher concentration of HMF (a toxic substance to bees) is found in HFCS when heated above 40 Celsius.
Public Relations McDonald's announced they are removing HFCS from their buns to make their food healthier. However, many larger food companies are still lobbying for use of corn and high fructose corn syrup in many products because of their own financial interests.
