Jonathan Moser
Jonathan Moser is a senior leader with extensive experience in bilingual communications and external relations who has facilitated success working for a diversity of clients in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. He currently runs his own consultancy, assisting clients throughout Canada. Prior to this role, Jonathan was the Manager of Government Affairs and Public Policy for Dow Chemical Canada ULC, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company. He was responsible for interactions with all levels of government in Canada, acting as the main liaison with business and trade organizations. He served as chief advisor to the President of Dow Canada and was the sustainability lead for Dow Canada’s sponsorship of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Because of his enterprising work, Jonathan was recognized in 2010 as one of the Canadian energy sector’s Rising Stars by Oilweek magazine.
Jonathan has worked as a Communications Advisor for the Calgary Police Service, assisting the Chief and his deputies. In addition, he has had significant public sector experience working as a Senior Political Advisor to federal Ministers in such portfolios as health, public works and government services and regional economic development. Jonathan served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada. He has also worked as a consultant for a government relations firm, advising senior business executives. While working in Ottawa, he was recognized as one of the top 25 Parliament Hill staffers by the Hill Times newspaper.
Jonathan serves on the Board of Directors of the global NGO Centre for Affordable Water and Sanitation Technology and the Government Relations Institute of Canada. He is also an active volunteer in his community with the Calgary Terry Fox Run Committee, McKenzie United Soccer Club, and St. Albert the Great Elementary School. He actively serves on the Board of Directors of the McKenzie Towne Residents and Community Associations.
Growing up in Kamloops, BC, Jonathan graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BA in Political Science. He and his spouse Catherine have two children aged 9 and 7.
