  • Opera House, Wellington: distinct architecture, heritage status, interior photos, better history section (Papers Past), 2015 earthquake strengthening.
  • Create or improve articles for the New Zealand regional orchestras - Orchestra Wellington and Dunedin Symphony Orchestra (formerly, Southern Sinfonia). An interesting chapter in a recent book explores the governance of DSO, here:
    • Johnston, Henry (2018). "Context, community and social capital in the governance of a New Zealand orchestra". In Ramnarine, Tina K (ed.). Global perspectives on orchestras : collective creativity and social agency. Oxford University Press. ISBN 9780199352227. OCLC 1021346732.
    • More DSO in the Otago Daily Times, e.g. 2013 Japan trip;[1] Review of 50th anniversary concert;[2] central government take the hatchet to the arts as usual, since it's not a sport or a motorway.[3]
  • New Zealand wine: Keep up to date.
    • More graphs needed of growth, changes in grape varieties, regions; c.f. NZ Winegrowers annual reports
    • Improve/fix the rather amateurish regions map by yours truly, ask for help (again?)
    • Waitaki GI now granted¹
    • Recent Peter Yealands sugar scandal²
    • Greystone wines doing well for North Canterbury - winery/winemaker of the year awards in 2018³
    • Mention and include results from the new Fine Wines of New Zealand initiative
    • Move at least the major most notable NZ wine regions into their own articles.
  • There is no article for Sir George Fistonich KNZM, founder of Villa Maria Estates
  • Update individual NZ winery articles - at the very least, upload logos (resolution < 300,000 pixels).
  • Remove unsubstantiated airy-fairy codswallop that keeps cropping up in various vegetable oil articles - particularly Grapeseed oil
  • Oh God, the Trombone article. Where to begin? Types of trombone... really?? Where is the Types of clarinet article, of which there are dozens? Only tenor and bass trombones are in widespread use, with alto and perhaps contrabass in F (which I own) in distant second equal place, with any revival of the latter being largely restricted to film soundtracks. Soprano and contrabass in low B♭ are merely toys for which almost no music exists, and a cimbasso is a cylindrical-bore F tuba. Alas, this would probably be a futile fight, and not one to pick any time soon.
  • Fix up Italian DOC and DOCG articles to include more about the winemaking rules; e.g. Moscato d'Asti, part of Asti DOCG, and the other wines that used to use Template:Infobox Italian wine.

Parachuting in New Zealand

Murray Friar from the Wellington meet up; NZPA - New Zealand Parachute Federation (incorporated society), spun off the regulatory/certification/industry concerns to NZPIA, a company. Wellington Skydiving Historical Society; no internet presence; archived stuff at National Library.
