Miss Universe 2013, the 62nd Miss Universe pageant, will be held at MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey, U.S. on July 27, 2013. The winner of Miss Universe 2012 will crown her successor at the end of the event.
It was originally scheduled for May 5, but was postponed to accomidate the national pageant schedules. As the stadium would be unavailable in August and September due to the NFL regular season, the Miss Universe Organization proposed a July 27 date pending approval from stadium officials as well as New York Giants and New York Jets personnel.
It will be the first Miss Universe pageant to be held in an NFL stadium, in the State of New Jersey as well as entirely outdoors.
