The Boston Cello Quartet [1] was founded in 2009 by four members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra: Blaise Dejardin, Adam Esbensen, Mihail Jojatu, Alexandre Lecarme. This newly formed ensemble, based in the Boston, Massachusetts area incorporates both new and old styles of chamber music. Not only do they perform traditional transcriptions of well known pieces, but also modern arrangements arranged by their own Blaise Dejardin. This string quartet is not to be mistaken for the traditional set of 2 violin, 1 viola, and 1 cello.
