Señor Cabrales is an Australian folk band who play traditional music from the historically Celtic regions of Europe's Atlantic coast, particularly Asturias, Galicia, and Brittany. Over the last ten years the group has toured extensively in the Australian folk festival scene, and is credited with the increased awareness and exposure of Asturian music to Australian audiences.[1] Señor Cabrales has also performed in New Zealand, US, UK and Europe. Their first studio album, Aquí, was released in 2013.
The group's sound is characterised by a diverse range of instruments including the Asturian and Galician gaita, whistles, mandolins, bouzoukis, mandola, flute, fiddle, banjo, charango and bodhran.
