Tracey Tong (born on September 3 1979 in North Bay, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian journalist. She is currently the Managing Editor at Metro Ottawa newspaper in Ottawa, Ontario. She lives in Ottawa with her boyfriend and two dogs.
Career
[edit]Tracey began her career in 2002 as a reporter at The Independent in Brighton, Ontario. From 2003 to 2004 she was a reporter and photographer at The Brighton Gazette and The Trentonian in Trenton, Ontario. In 2004, Tracey moved to Brockville, Ontario where she took the position of reporter, columnist and photographer for The Recorder and Times. She held this position until 2007, when she moved to Ottawa to take the position of senior reporter, columnist and photographer for Metro Ottawa.[1] In 2008, Tracey was promoted to Managing Editor for Metro Ottawa.
Tracey held internships in 2002 as Sports Intern for The Record in Kitchener, Ontario and News Intern for National Post in Toronto, Ontario.
Education
[edit]Tracey received a Bachelor of Journalism from Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario in 2002. She also completed a Photography Diploma at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario the same year.
