Background
[edit]Hajj Maulid Makokha is a Kenyan from the western region of the country. He was born in Mumias town back in the nineteen eighty's and grew up there. His grandfather's name was Hamisi Masimba who was a navy soldier, and his father is Roman while his mother is Alice, who came from the honorable family of Wilson Okusimba, who was a very honorable chief in the colonial era.
Education
[edit]He attended primary education in several institutions such as St. Peter's Mumias boys primary school, then tranfered to Mwitoti primary school and finally Kaloleni Muslim primary school in Kisumu, where he attained his KCPE certification in 2002.
Maulid studied the whole of his high school education in Abrar high school in Eldoret and attained the KCSE certificate there as the best student ever produced an A- in the year 2006.
In the year 2008, he travelled to Sudan for university studies, where after finishing the compulsary one year Arabic language studies, he travelled to Saudi Arabia for university studies in Islamic Law (Shari'ah) in Islamic university of Madina, where he graduated in the year 2012 with first class honors. He later joined the master's in Islamic education program and graduated with a master's degree in the year 2019.
Employment
[edit]He worked in several capacities as a teacher, mentor and manager; starting with the education field, where he taught Arabic and Islamic studies in both primary and secondary school in Nairobi. He later joined Islamic banking sector to date.
Family
[edit]Maulid Makokha has one son and four daughters: Leila, Sidra, Mohammed, Fatuma and Shukri.
