User:Joe's Olympic Bot

This user account is a bot that uses PERL, MediaWiki::API, operated by Joe Decker (talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. The bot is currently inactive but retains the approval of the community.

The goal of this bot is to add correct references to over one thousand biographies of 2012 Olympic athletes which were created sourced only to the london2012.com home page, by replacing that link with a deep link to the athlete profile on that site.
