Jocelyn Harewood
[edit]Jocelyn Harewood has published fiction and non-fiction books for adults and children, plus many short stories and articles. Her latest book, "Vanuatu" is a true story based on her experiences while travelling around the country researching for the Lonely Planet guide to Vanuatu. Her best known book "Voices in the Wash-House", was runner-up for the prestigious Victorian Premier's Literary Awards. It now is the first of the hilarious series that follows the trials and adventures of the Merritt family. Other well-known works are her novelisations of Geoffrey Wrights films, Romper Stomper, Metal Skin and Lover Boy. Her books for younger readers are delightful, while young adults enjoy all her work, not just the Merritt series.
With her move to the digital age, Harewood has published her books as e-books. For those who have read her books in the past, there are several new works: collections of short stories, both for adults and young readers, and a young adult fiction which will please anyone interested in skiing.
They are all available to download from her website: http://www.e-booksbyHarewood.com.au and http://www.HarewoodBooks.com.au
