A Little Bit About Me

Interested in Poetry, Literature, Politics, North Carolina, Technology and Linguistics. Also: Steampunk! Hedgehogs! Cute kittens! lol.

My wikiage is 18 years, 246 days. Not currently really interested in any admin rights or duties. Want to focus on expanding existing articles and possibly creating a few of my own. Tend to get bogged down in vandalism reverts and just technical clean-ups. Act as a WikiGnome or WikiFairy some. I guess my main goal would be to get at least one of the articles I create or contribute to heavily up to Good Article or Feature Article class. But that may be a ways away.

I'll try to list some of the things I am working on/interested in on this page. I tend to do a lot with North and South Carolina: counties (especially Rowan and Wilkes), schools, politicians and state legislatures.

Currently Working On

Doing a lot now with poetry-related lists, such as List of poets, List of English-language poets, List of female poets, List of poets from the United States, etc. Adding dates and some short descriptions where possible. Generally trying to clean some of them up and add more poets that are not listed.

Had started this a while back, but got sidetracked. Now really focused on expanding the many NC politician stub articles found at Category:North Carolina politician stubs.

Going to start working on creating articles for NC school districts:

  • New article on Hickory City Schools. Sandbox: Hickory

Also, more casually:

  • New article for Rowan Public Library. Sandbox: RPL
  • New article for W. G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center. Sandbox: Salisbury VAMC

I am also trying to update and re-activate the Portal:North Carolina and the Wikipedia:WikiProject North Carolina pages.

Working on NC elections and NC General Assembly. See US House elections NC, 2010, NC General Assembly#Sessions, and US House elections NC, 2012.

Creations

See the link above for a full list of articles (66) and templates (9) that I have created, as well as those created from stubs (5). Hard to pick any that I am most proud of, but will list my most recent DYK? here as well as any GA or whatever articles:

For the full list of DYK? articles in which I have been involved:

Also, I have worked a whole lot on the article I created for the Rowan-Salisbury School System which is now a B-class!

Other major involvements

I have done a lot of work at the List of poets page. Other articles in which I have contributed a lot towards include:

The Template Barnstar
For your great work creating {{Infobox papal conclave}}. Especially useful considering current events but it will help with consistency for all the historical ones. Great work! Stalwart111 02:04, 14 February 2013 (UTC)
