The Media Project (Organization) is a non-profit organization founded in 1997, run by journalists for the purpose of encouraging "an intellectually honest and critical approach to subjects related to religion, ethics, and values to enrich and deepen coverage of religion - regardless of the reporter's personal faith."[1]. It consists of a self-selecting community of journalists who work with accredited, non-religious news sources, and is active in hosting international conferences, publishing, and supports the Washington Journalism Center.
