This is JL Ramayia's Wikipedia userpage.

I am a BSc graduate with a special focus on geography, environmental science and economics. I am currently in the process of completing a Master of Science degree in Environmental Planning, which is a specialisation of Town Planning.

From an academic point of view, I think Wikipedia serves as a good introduction to a topic. It provides a good summary, and is also good in pointing the researcher to references (if the article is reference properly i.e.)

I think the project can be applauded in that it has controls and checks in place regarding articles with scant references, which is indicative of the project's vision to become a more reliable web resource.

From a non-academic point of view, Wikipedia is a fine source of reading. I especially enjoy reading 'cities' articles and in general I think these are well written. The format for music albums and artists is also quite impressive.
