My name is Jacob, I'm currently a senior history student at Arkansas Tech University I've been attending ATU since 2021, and am currently hoping to graduate in May of 2025

HIST 3273

HIST 3273 is a course taught at Arkansas Tech University focused on the application and use of Digital History and the various technological tools open to and used by historians within the modern age.

Historical Interests

Before deciding to become a history major, History and historical media such as video games and movies were one of my major hobbies. My two favorite topics being World War II as well as the Reformation Period/Early Modern Europe.

World War II

Some of my favorite World War II media includes several video games, namely Hearts of Iron IV, Call of Duty: World at War, Medal of Honor: Airborne, and most recently Hell Let Loose.

In addition to World War II being a popular hobby of mine, I'm also currently taking a course on the subject at Arkansas Tech University

Reformation Period and Early Modern Europe

This interest began after I took a course on the Reformation and Early Modern Europe, as well as History of the Middle Ages. Similarly, one of my favorite aspects of this period are the video games inspired by them, namely Europa Universalis IV.

Other Hobbies

My more none historical hobbies include things like reading fantasy novels, browsing wikipedia, and playing pen and paper tabletop RPGs, principally Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, although I've recently gotten into older editions such as Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
