Solar Powered Irrigation
This apparatus uses the heat absorbtion cycle which is commonly found in gas refrigerators. Instead of a gas flame as the heat source to make the refrigeration process happen, a lens is used to concentrate the Suns light onto a small boiler containing the refrigerant.
As the refrigerating cycle progresses, the cooled section, instead of being used to cool a fridge, is used as a means of causing ambient water vapour to condense into water, which is allowed to drip out of the bottom of the apparatus, and stored or used directly. See http://www.oocities.org/robertsewellca/gas2.jpg fpr details.
