Dun Laoghaire Musical and Dramatic Societynew article content ... The Dun Laoghaire Musical and Dramatic Society (DMDS) is a musical society serving the town of Dun Laoghaire, in South County Dublin, Ireland and surrounding areas. It has 70 members and performs at many local events. The society was originally founded as the Dun Laoghaire Methodist Dramatic Society in 1960 and was affiliated to the local Methodist Church. In 2003 the Society became a community group with a new constitution. It performs an annual musical in the Pavilion Theatre, competes in choral competitions, and performs at a wide range of local events for charity and fund-raising purposes. It is a member of the Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS).
