Jesus Maria Arsenio C. Salvilla (Jess Salvilla) born January 13, 1967, is a Filipino educator, musical composer, digital arranger, lyricist, and event organizer in National and Regional Chess Seminars and Tournaments. He is the Founder/ President of Philippine Association of Teachers in Humanities and Social Sciences (PATH, Inc.), Chess Trainers Alliance of the Philippines, Inc., (CTAP, Inc.) and a recipient of more than 18 Non-Academic distinctions and recognition awards.

As an educator, he is a former faculty member of Western Institute of Technology (WIT), Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT-U), Bethany Life Center Academy, and Jaro National High School. Currently he is teaching at Iloilo City National High School handling Humanities and Social Sciences course subjects. In the academe life, he is a debate coach and lecturer in LET-PRC examination Review.

In the line of music, Salvilla has composed "Graciano Lopez Jaena March" in English and Hiligaynon versions) Teaching the World (an Official Song of the Philippine Association of Teachers in HUMSS), Onward, Onward Iloilo City Athletes! (Sports song), Iloilo, Amon Guinapabugal! (Tourism song), United Colors Hymn (Unity song), HUMSS Little Prayer, and his latest Senior High School Hymn. Salvilla was a former digital Audio-Music Arranger of AROA Records (2011-2013) and has arranged and recorded the following songs: Antique Cantata (8 Songs-2009), Hiligaynon Mass (9 songs composed by University of San Agustin Band Conductress Edqueenie Altar), Tatak Ilonggo Christmas Song (2011), Pasko Na Naman (Pete Olaguer, 2011), Si LoKaya ng Pinor (Erlito JAro, 2012) San Miguel Hymn (and entry to songwriting contest by Atty> Rex Salvilla), WIT Hymn, Calinog Hymn (entry to songwriting contest by Dr. Ninfa Liwag, 2013) Disyembre Na! (by Shamel Ricablanca, 2013), Pavia: Sa Dughan Naga Isahanon (a Pavia Hymn entry to songwriting contest by Henry Prio, 2018). Salvilla was a member of University of San Agustin Band during his college days, Iloilo Symphony Orchestra (under the baton of Professor Romulo Pangan), and a participant to the 1985 Philippine Youth Symphonic Band (Summer Youth Music Camp in Mt. Makiling Laguna, Philippines). He was also a member of the Rasa Kirtan Band, playing in the keyboard performing in Hong Kong and various part of the Philippines.

Salvilla, in the field of chess, is an official lecturer of Iloilo City Summer Sports Chess Clinic in SM City 2015-2019, chess Arbiter in Milo Little Olympics- Visayas Leg, Division of Iloilo City ICSSC Meet since 2014, DWP Mixed Masters Invitational Chess Tournament-pPonsoed by Mr. Nonoy Briones (2006-2019), Iloilo Paraw Regatta Chess Tournament (2009-2013), Shell National YOuth Active Chess-Visayas Leg (2005-2010), Iloilo Chartered Day Celebration (2017-2019) and 14th Unigames (CPU, 2009).

Jess Salvilla is a graduate of Political Science (University of San Agustin), Masters of Arts in Social Science (West Visayas State UNiversity), Bachelor of Laws (University of San Agustin), and currently pursuing his PhD in Educational Management at Iloilo State College of Fishery (ISCOF). He was born to lawyer Atty. Rex S. Salvilla (1928-2016) and teacher Prisca Gay Celis (1930-2015). His parents was from San Miguel. Iloilo (father) and Sara, Iloilo (mother). Jess has 3 siblings, Fr. Rex, Marilyn (1963-2009) and Tim. He is married to Hilda Sombiro with two children, Jan Krishna Dev and Jan Rex.
