The Evolution Championship Series (Evo for short) is the largest competitive Fighting Game competition held in the United States each year. The event has been running yearly since 2002. The 2009 Tournament was held at the Rio hotel and casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada. July 17-19.
The rules of this competition[1] are commonly accepted as a neutral standard for other fighting game tournaments.[2]
A record 24,000 simultaneous viewers of the live stream was observed during the final day of Evo 2009.
EVO Moments
