The National Capital Amateur Football Association (NCAFA) is a Canadian Football association located in Ottawa, Canada. The association was established in 1955. NCAFA is the largest amateur football association in Canada.. Their mission is to further and incite participation by boys and girls up to age 22 in organized amateur football. [1] The NCAFA’s Consitution States that their core values are "fair play, team work, discipline, education and participation". In 2016, data showed that the association had the potentiel to foster 2370 players.[2]
Objectives
[edit]The NCAFA's objectives are listed in their bylaws as follows [3]:
- Seek to engrain the core values in all aspects of the Association
- Seek to achieve a quality experience for all participants including players, coaches, officials, parents, and families.
- Ensure that volunteer participants receive the necesszry instructions, courses and training to permit a fun, healthy, safe and harassement free environnement for the NCAFA Constitutioned players
- Promote the educational opportunities provided by football
- Provide knowledgeable guidance on opportunities for players, coaches, trainers and managers to achieve their maximum football potential.
- Seek to achieve strong and balanced operations amongst its entire member Clubs and provide league directed mentorship services and leadership to achieve this objective.
