User:Jennywaggo
I am an inexpert user learning to contribute. Please talk suggestions, corrections, tools to help me improve. Here are pages I'm finding helpful, as a new user:
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style
I am interested in:
[edit]- Government
- Democracy
- Election information
- Civic engagement
Trying to foster collaboration between Wikipedia, community civic engagement groups, and government. I'm very involved with the League of Women Voters of California. Please talk if you want to collaborate.
I work as a consultant to nonprofits and small businesses in operations, finance, and communications with a special interest in tech.
Conflict of interest
[edit]I, User:Jennywaggo, was elected 2011-13 President (a volunteer role) of the League of Women Voters of California, a non profit dedicated to encouraging active and informed participation in civic life through education and advocacy in the state of California. I concurrently was appointed to serve as President of the League of Women Voters of California Education Fund. I will not make any edits that would not be beneficial to the goals of Wikipedia.
While my editing is not extensive, I do like to improve access to information about government, politics, elections and civic engagement. I do, from time to time, insert links to League of Women Voters resources.
I will modify my editing behavior based on problems cited by other editors or if my editing conflicts with other Wikipedia guidelines. I ask that other editors do not hesitate to contact me, via my user talk page, if I appear to be going against this declaration. Jennywaggo (talk) 14:42, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
