Lachlan Doley (born 21 April 1978), also known as Lachy Doley or Lachy, is an Australian singer-songwriter and session musician known best for his role as member of Sydney groove band The Hands and session keyboard player for Australian rock group Powderfinger. He specializes in playing Hammond Organ, Clavinet, Piano and Wurlitzer.

The Hands

Lachlan alongside brother, Clayton Doley, formed The Hands in 2002. They have released 2 studio Albums "Live and Breathe" (2004) and "Everything is Wonderful" (2008). The band consists of Lachlan playing Clavinet and brother Clayton playing Hammond organ. In 2006 they played the Byron Bay Blues Festival on the Main Stage.

Solo Artist

Doley's solo project goes under the name Lachy Doley. His debut release EP "Pressure Of The Cool" is set to be released late 2010.

Touring

In 2000, Lachlan toured most of Australia with Sydney band Karma County. Traveling from Cairns to Albany and then embarking on a two week tour of Europe (joined by Jimmy Little) and a further four weeks touring Nth America. Later in 2000 Doley joined veteran Aussie rocker Jimmy Barnes's band and continued to play with him until mid 2003 including a European tour in 2001. Throughout 2002 to 2005 Lachlan and Brother Clayton, as The Hands, toured Australia thoroughly including the west coast of Australia. In 2006 Lachlan again toured Australia, Europe and Nth America with Sydney band The Beautiful Girls up until mid 2007 where he played the main stage of the Splendour in the Grass festival with The Beautiful Girls and headliners Powderfinger. He has played with Powderfinger ever since including four Australian tours and three UK tours. Doley will be touring again with Powderfinger for their last ever Australian tour "Sunsets" from September to mid November 2010
