Jo Ann Jenkins is the CEO of AARP.[1] She was appointed on September 1, 2014, having previously served as AARP's chief operating officer (2013 - 2014) and president of AARP Foundation (2010 - 2013).[2] Between 1994 and 2010, she was a senior adviser, chief of staff, and chief operating officer of the Library of Congress.[2]
Early life and education
[edit]A native of Mon Louis Island, Alabama, Jenkins graduated from Theodore High School in Theodore, Alabama. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Spring Hill College in 1980,[2] and graduated from the Stanford Executive Program from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.[3]
