Seth Burkett is an 18 year old professional footballer. He has recently risen to fame as the only Briton to be playing football in Brazil [1].
Seth spent the majority of his childhood living in the village of Barnack, Cambridgeshire. Here he attended Barnack C of E Primary School and played football for the school team. He was then signed up for the first of his stints at the Peterborough United academy. After being released from here he played for several clubs including Northampton Academy. He attended Arthur Mellows Village College where he did his A-Levels.
He was on tour in Brazil with local youth team Stamford when he was spotted by football agent Anderson da Silva in June 2009[2]. The agent then signed him up to Sorriso EC and he travelled over there to join the squad in November 2009. In January of 2010 he appeared in many national newspapers, such as the Daily Mail and Daily Express [3], due to his stardom over in Brazil. He was also interviewed on Radio Five by Clare Balding, asking him how he was adapting to the very different lifestyle in Brazil.
