AfD nomination of WMW Fowler

[edit]

An editor has nominated WMW Fowler, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WMW Fowler and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. Hi there

[edit]

I'll have a look at the Serpin article. Something you might consider is nominating it at Wikipedia:Good article candidates so you can get a more formal review. I'll try to pick it up if you nominate it there! Tim Vickers 15:08, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Finished the review, most of the suggestions are to make the text a bit more accessible for the general reader. Tim Vickers 00:52, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page

[edit]

Hi there, I've made your user page a redirect to this talk page. That stops your signature being a red broken link. If you don't like this, please feel free to revert! Tim Vickers 23:11, 4 August 2007 (UTC) Cheers thats great - I'm still getting to grips with some of the intricacies of the Wiki system! Jcwhizz 00:34, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Serpinopathy

[edit]

Hi James. Firstly my compliments on your work on the serpin page, and your willingness to share your professional experience with us on Wikipedia. I started the serpin page with only rudimentary knowledge of the most important serpins, and learnt stuff as I went along. It is striking how many systems require serpins for optimum functioning.

Perhaps I should qualify my statement in the edit summary: we cannot say that every case of thrombosis is due to serpinopathy. I'm sure the statement can be reintroduced with sufficient detail, e.g. deficiency of α1-antitrypsin can cause emphysema and cirrhosis and antithrombin deficiency is a rare but significant risk factor for thrombosis. I have nominated Fred Whisstock, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fred Whisstock. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Lithoderm 16:28, 9 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:At3sequence2.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Serpin FA submission

[edit]

Hello, I've gone through the Serpin article and made some changes that should make it suitable for Featured article nomination. There are still a couple of things that I've not got the expertise to address. If you've a moment, your input on a few questions on the talk page would be very helpful. Once you've had a look, I'll submit it for Featured Article.

As an aside, I'd also really like to edit the Image:At3sequence2.jpg image, but I get the impression that the heparin has been modelled into PDB: 1TB6? Would you be ok with sending me the PDB file (e.g. email or PMDB)? T.Shafee(Evo﹠Evo)talk 06:13, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:Paintingmacpf.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Photo of someone else's painting, clearly recent so not public domain; free license claim invalid.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 19:47, 26 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Pai1tolatent2.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
