As you may have guessed my name last name is Balding; first name is Jeff. I have recently began editing on Wikipedia again - I started with a few edits in 2006 and 2007. I am a "kinda" native of Las Cruces, New Mexico - living there most of my life. I was born in Spokane, Washington at Fairchild AFB. I then moved to Riverside, California and Ontario, California before going to Las Cruces for the first time when I was five. I then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, Denver, Colorado and Bend, Oregon before moving back to Las Cruces again at age 15. I worked a whole year of my life (over 3 years) on my family's farm in Rockford, Washington. I also lived in Alamogordo, New Mexico for a month or two after graduating from high school. I lived in Arlington, Virginia in 2007-08 for a year while on temporary duty to the Pentagon. I have recently relocated to Alexandria, Virginia while giving rebirth to my career working for a new organization in the Department of Defense, where I have worked since I was twenty.

Education

I graduated from Mayfield High School in Las Cruces, New Mexico and hold a BS in Electrical Engineering with a specialty in Lasers and Electro optics from New Mexico State University.

Interests

I have a wide and varied set of interests in broad categories such as sports and computers, and other various activities. I can judge my interests by my obsessions over the years. Here is the laundry list (in order of length of time spent doing it): Playing basketball, genealogy, flight simulation, racing simulation, computer games, golf, computer repair business. And I'm sure there are others I am forgetting at this point.

I have been a loyal fan of the New Mexico State Aggies - and will continue to be.

Wikipedia philosophy

I believe I'm a newcomer to Wikipedia editing - but I've done this kind of work in my professional career many times. I have a good eye for realizing content organization and layout. And am fairly average in everything else.

I do believe that a great piece of writing involves much collaboration. And it's really no different here.
