Was thinking about revising/updating info on the Hormesis topic within Wikipedia, but I think I may do that later.

Radiation dose reconstruction
[edit]For claims filed under Part B for cancers that may have been caused by occupational radiation exposure, DOL sends the claim to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Division of Compensation Analysis and Support[1] for a radiation dose reconstruction. NIOSH requests the energy employee's individual exposure records from DOE and interviews the claimant or survivors to obtain information to use in the dose reconstruction. NIOSH also collects all relevant data regarding the individual's work site, if available, to complete the dose reconstruction. Once the dose reconstruction is complete, NIOSH sends the dose reconstruction back to DOL and DOL makes compensation decisions.[2]
All other Part B claims and all Part E claims remain at DOL for review and compensation determinations.
======changing the paragraph above to be as follows========
[edit]Note: Look at the EEOICPA wikipage and consider adding a little more about the history and why this program started. Perhaps include a few sentences on why dose reconstruction is important and how it is related to the probability of causation. Mention some of the key factors that are claimant favorable - like we use the 99% confidence interval on the PoC calculation - without getting too technical.
NOTE: Use the talk page to edit this before publishing. Coordinate with appropriate people at NIOSH.
