So what do I wish to accomplish here ? Good question. Everyone should have goals otherwise, it's simply a waste of time.
To become a notable contributor, which isn't the same thing as being a prolific contributor. Yes, there are those who make edit counts their main objective. I see mine as making quality edits which contribute to the overall project in a postive way. When I see certain areas which are neglected, which haven't been written well, or which need cohesion, I plan on acting whether it takes 10, 100 or 1000 edits.
To work on my To do list until it's done. Then start a new list.
To be a thorn in the side of vandals so that they either say "f&<^ it" and leave or perhaps even decide to join the project in a positive way.
To make some friends. Because while wikipedia is an encyclopedia first and foremost, that doesn't mean we can't all be friends.
To have some fun...
I didn't list becoming an administrator, because... it isn't really all that important. While I feel I would be a good administrator, I'd much rather be a contributor who people count on. If someone nominates me in the future... so be it, I would accept. But being an administrator (or not) will not make or break my wikiexperience...
