[edit]Calculating Pi
[edit]Recently I was experimenting with Pi (the constant) and managed to create an additional formula to calculate Pi. It is based on Archimedes' regular polygons theory. On the Pi wiki page there is no reference to any formula of its type; and so I wish to post this on there in the near future. The formula follows:
I then shortened this formula down to just:
To use the formula replace n with any number; the bigger, the more accurate Pi becomes; this is what is ment by in the formula. Therefore you could say, by using this formula .
Interesting Note - To satisfy the Casio Calculator Pi accuracy, enter n as 10,000,000, this if you are on Math mode will show the Pi symbol; a neat little trick to show your friends.
