Jana Pisarikova is an academic researcher at the Faculty of Fine Art by the University of Technology, Brno, Czech Republic and writer. Her main interests include curating and critical writing about visual arts and performance art. Her current research is focused on issue of archiving and possibilities of historical interpretation of ephemeral artworks. She also works on developing media archive with artist Tomas Ruller at the Faculty of Fine Arts by the University of Technology. She also cooperate as a associete researcher with the Rewind Archive in Dundee, Scotland. She has curated a lot of exhibitions (Mathew Barney's Wardrobe, City Gallery Bratislava, 3/2009, Once upon a time, Open Gallery, Bratislava 8/2013, Alotrium, Gallery by the Good Shepard, Brno, 2/2014) which were focused on performance art and its reflexion in the wide context of documentation, myths creation and the topic of performativity of the contemporary culture. In the last two years she has been also developing the association Expanded performance together with visual artist Tomas Hodbod and poet Andrea Vatulikova.
