jammerzzz

jammerzzz, llc is an American textile company focused on infant and children's pajamas, founded in San Antonio, TX. The company manufactures mainly infant and children's short and pant sets and infant onesies. jammerzzz specializes in sustainable, GOTS organic fabric clothing that is eco-friendly and can safely re-enter the Earth upon breaking down at the end of it's life cycle.

Founding

Morgan Harrison founded jammerzzz in 2020.

After over a decade working in the music industry for a broadcast radio and marketing group, Morgan Harrison was quarantined at home at the start of the covid-19 pandemic, was on a hiatus of work before joining another broadcast radio group and marketing group, and took a visit to Zigatta in Frisco, Texas to meet the CEO, Nahid Giga, where she was asked what her dream was and her response was "to save the world with a long time idea- jammerzzz." The dream was revived and she returned to San Antonio, TX to begin bringing the brand to life.

Years prior to having children, Morgan had the idea to create a brand to "save the world," but it wasn't until after she had children and learned that fashion waste was a leader in global waste, with materials that took decades or longer to break down, and contained harmful materials to the environment, that she knew what it needed to be. The musical theme came naturally as her husband had been playing music and instruments since the age of 13 and remained in a local band- Coda Vary. Harrison had been working in the music industry, broadcast radio and marketing, for years, and their children had musically inspired names, as well as their animals. Kennedy was named after the MTV VJ, and London Raine gained her middle name from the lead singer of Our Lady Peace, Raine Maida. Animal names were the likes of Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton, The Nixons, and more.

Investing personal savings, she researched and developed sustainably sourced, GOTS, children's pajamas in 3 classic styles with the assistance of her 6 year old, London, and 8 year old, Kennedy, who both helped to choose their favorite colors and sets. The creation of the initial product was to be called "baby jammerzzz" but the inclusion of larger sizes led to the drop of the word, "baby" in the creation process.

Morgan Harrison began working with a fair labor standard manufacturer to create tech packs and prototypes for jammerzzz. Several custom additions were added including cotton tags versus screened sizing and branding on each piece for quality. Custom embroidery to stay true to the brand slogan, "pajamas that rock" and true to the Harrison's musical lifestyle was added to each set and onesie. Sustainable leaves in a circular logo were added to the cotton care tags with the verbiage "rocking sustainability since 2021" as the brand itself did not launch until the year after creation.

She saved money by filing her own USPTO trademark patent and limited liability corporation (llc) as a managing member with her husband, Cole. She employed her 6 and 8 year old daughters as models for the website and social media posts, as well as her neighbor's infant son, and friends of her daughters to showcase each set and piece with both boys and girls.

Launch

In 2021, Harrison launched the jammerzzz brand from her home, creating the website, posting content, and fulfilling orders on her own via the Shopify platform at the URL: https://www.jammerzzz.com .
