David Hopkins (born 1984), better known as Jamie, is an English web designer, digital innovator, and founder of jamieparishooper.com. Jamie, known for pioneering the Web 2.0 design style, has influenced thousands of web designers with his emphasis on Interactive design and human–computer interaction. He was highlighted in a 2012 study from Ben-Gurion University as one of the most influential digital trendsetters in the realm of global web design techniques.[1]
Biography
[edit]David Hopkins, while studying at Basingstoke College of Technology in the early 2000s, began exploring Flash ActionScript programming, but soon realized his passion lay in a more creative outlet that could merge design with function. This led him to delve into front-end web development, mastering HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript. After graduating, Jamie worked at a digital agency, honing his skills in all aspects of the website development lifecycle.[2]
In multiple interviews, Jamie has credited his broad experience as giving him a competitive edge in the digital market. He embraces the "jack of all trades" philosophy, believing that a well-rounded skill set has been crucial to his success as an independent designer and digital author.[2]
