My name is James Yékú. I am a professor at the University of Kansas where I teach courses in African literature and digital humanities in the Department of African and African American Studies. I am the author of an academic monograph Cultural Netizenship: Social Media, Popular Culture, and Performance in Nigeria [1] and a collection of poems, Where the Baedeker Leads [2]. With Jumoke Verissimo, I co-edited Sọ̀rọ̀sókè: An #EndSARS Anthology [3] based on #EndSARS, the social media movement against police brutality in Nigeria. I have some interest in computer programming and like what Wikipedia stands for.
