Acquisition of citizenship
[edit]- Citizenship by donation, It was possible to purchase Comorian nationality for 45,000 USD. Many sovereign nations have sidetracked granting nationality of their own countries to ethnic groups, paying the Comorian government to grant them this nationality. This is the case with the Emrati government and the nomadic Bedouin peoples.[1] Whether or not this sale of citizenship is legal is subject to legal dispute with large-scale corruption, and violations of international law.[2]
Dual nationality
