Toms Burkovskis (born 10 September 1992), better known by his stage name of Tobu (stylized as 7obu), is a Latvian music producer who was born in Riga, Latvia. As of December, 2016 he has 780,000 subscribers and over 70 songs on his channel. He is known for his hit singles "Candyland" and "Sunburst" both released by NoCopyrightSounds,[1] which accumulated more than 10 million and 5 million views respectively on YouTube.[2][3] His debut album, Sugar, was released on 21 February 2016,[4] which featured 10 tracks that accumulated a total of more than 1 million plays on SoundCloud.[5] He is also known for his collaborations with the Dutch DJ Itro, which include the songs, "Fantasy", "Magic", "Sunburst", "Holiday" and "Cloud 9".
His most popular song, Colors, has over 11 million views on YouTube.[6]
Tobu's first song, ''Storm! It's coming!'' was released in 2012.
Tobu stated in an interview[7] in 2013 that he'd always loved melodic music, his main inspirations including Aqua and Vengaboys, and later Deadmau5 with his masterpiece “Strobe”, and Avicii with “Levels”.
