Debadatta Jadumani Nayak aka Jadumani Nayak (born 5th October 1971) is an Indian Film Director, Editor, Cinematographer, Producer, Screenwriter and Lyricist who works mainly in Odia-Sambalpuri Films. He has directed, edited, cinematographed, produced and written the shortest feature film of the industry, Larelapa (2024), whose screen time is only 72 minutes.
Early Life Jadumani Nayak was born in Kandapala, Odisha. He studied his M.Sc. in Anthropology from Pt. Ravishankar University, Raipur and M.J.M.C from Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam. He has pursued both Direction and Film Production courses from Ramoji Academy of Movies (RAM). Jadumani is married to Anjali, who is a homemaker.
Career Jadumani made his directorial debut in 2016 with a hindi short film Parivartan. Before that he worked as screenplay writer for Sambalpuri film, Nillaj Gharen Senrra Kunua (2006) and screenplay and dialogue writer for Odia film Kalijuga Ramayana (2007). Actually, Jadumani started his career as a Lyricist and got recognition in 2004 with his super-duper hit song sundri sundri ta sung by Shatrughna Luna and composed by Sri Ram Luhar. He has written more than 700 songs in Sambalpuri, Odia and Hindi.
