Glenn Toby AKA SWEETY G

Glenn Toby is a Music Executive/Entertainment Executive/Sports Super Agent/Philanthropist/Author and Humanitarian.

He has been called a Deal Maker, Bridge Builder And Social Visionary. Glenn Toby started out as a musical prodigy who has collaborated with a who’s who in the entertainment industry from the 80’s to now and in his sports management and marketing firm, Glenn is without a doubt a major player and among the top tier of power players in the country. Wrote and/or produced for: David Banner, Swizz Beatz, Jayo Felony, L.L. Cool J, Mary Wilson (Formerly Of The Supremes),Mekka Millz, Nelly, Positive K, Saigon, Quincy Jones, 2 Unlimited, Melba Moore, R Kelly, Sybil, 50 Cents and G-Unit Clothing,Tru Life, DJ Sickamore

He began his career as an entertainer and developed his craft as a songwriter and a record producer. Toby is credited with revolutionizing urban music in the early 1980's in New York City. He came to prominence as one of the original old school rappers, sharing the center stage, rhyming with Doug E. Fresh, Biz Markie, Treacherous 3, Boogie Boys, Cipher Sounds, Disco Twins, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Kurtis Blow, and Run DMC. He was Nicknamed "Sweety G” by his fellow rappers (for being "too sweet to beat") he sharpened his stagecraft performing in front of the hardest crowds to please in the NYC area.


Glenn co-managed LL Cool J for three years, which Toby helped secure the rapper a starring role on the popular NBC produced sitcom, In The House. That deal became the launching pad from which LL Cool J embarked upon his acting career.

He has his own music production and marketing company, Glenn's Grooves Productions. His company has a roster of corporate clients which include: Sony Music Corp., Motown Records, Home Box Office, Atlantic Records, and B.M.G. Music Publishing


Glenn Toby worked for several years at EDS, a Wall Street Commodities Firm; he became a Series 7 Stockbroker. This enabled Toby to provide his clients with financial services in Stocks & Bonds, Real Estate Development and Off Shore Banking.


Toby merged with Sports Agent, Alonzo Shavers to create Infinite Sports Technology (IST)

Mr. Toby has worked with or is currently working with: Josh Evans - New York Jets #91, Asante Samuel - New England Patriots, Damien Robinson Seattle Seahawks #22 and Tutan Reyes of Buffalo Bills, Cruiserweight Oneil "The Supernova" Bell and Don King Productions Inc.

He has advised and worked with: - Actor/Singer Jason Weaver (Drumlline /ATl/ Micheal Jackson),Lance Reddick ( HBO's Lieutenant Cedric Daniels on the "The Wire" & OZ)

One of Toby's most dynamic achievements is the creation of The Book Bank, Inc., a non-profit organization whose mission is to enable underprivileged youth to achieve personal goals, develop self-confidence and prepare themselves for productive roles by focusing on the importance of literacy. Along with Richard Britt, President, they provide our youth with tutoring, alternative education, counseling, and career development services. Founded in 1998, To date the foundation has serviced over 100,000 children nationwide.

In 2003 he contributed a chapter in “The Souls of My Brothers; Black Men Break Their Silence, Tell Their Truths, and Heal Our Spirits” entitled “Prosperity Will Come”, a book edited by Dawn Marie Daniels and Candace Sandy. A collaboration of excerpts written by several distinct African American males, the book provides insight into the hardships and eventual epiphany of the men who surpassed all odds.

He is currently writing his autobiography.

Awards/Achievements 2007 Glenn Toby was named Harvard University Man of the Year. 2006 "The Leadership Achievement Award" by The National Urban league


He has for years been and continues to be a motivational speaker and guest lecturer for colleges, social institutions, associations and non profit organizations.
