Texas Natural Resources Code

[edit]

The Texas Natural Resources Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to regulate the extraction and use of natural resources and create the Texas General Land Office. The oil and gas regulations within this code are of particular importance, as Texas is the largest producer of oil and natural gas in the United States. [1] The code was enacted in 1977 by Texas SB 1207, 65th R.S. as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963. [2]
