Texas Finance Code
[edit]The Texas Finance Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature to regulate financial institutions such as banks, credit unions, or trust companies. It also regulates interest rates, money lending (general loans and mortgages), and has provisions to safeguard Texans who use these systems.[1] The code was enacted in 1997 by Texas HB 10, 75th R.S. as part of the ongoing revision process begun in 1963. [2]
