[edit]Mason Ferlic is an American middle distance runner. His main event is the steeplechase. He ran for Mounds Park Academy Academy in high school, he went on to run for the University of Michigan[1], and now runs professionally for Nike[2].

[edit]- Was the top U-M finisher at the NCAA Championships (Nov. 21) in teh 10,000-meter event contributing to a ninth-place team finish with a time of 30:42.3
- Won the Individual Regional Title at the 10,000-meter NCAA Great Lakes Regional (Nov. 13) in a time of 30:18.3 to help U-M take the regional crown
- As the individual runner-up, led U-M to its first conference crown since 1998 at the 8,000-meter Big Ten Championships (Nov. 1), running a collegiate-best 23:19.6 to become the highest-finishing Wolverine since Nate Brannen (2nd; 2003)
- Led U-M to a third-place finish at the 8,000-meter Wisconsin Adidas Invitational (Oct. 16), finishing 13th overall (23:49.0)
- Won the 8,000-meter event at the Greater Louisville Classic (Oct. 3) with a time of 23:51.52
- Took the individual title with a career best time of 14:56.1 in the 5,000-meter event at the EMU Celebration (Sept. 5).

- At the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds, and finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (8:41.83) to qualify for the NCAA Championships
- Finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the BIG 10 championships

- At the Big Ten Championships, and won the 3,000m steeplechase title in 8:43.30 and finished runner-up in the 5,000m race
- At the NCAA East Preliminary Rounds, and finished runner-up in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, running 8:35:45 for a new personal-best and the sixth-fastest time in program history and finished runner-up in the 5,000m race to advance to the NCAA Championships in both events
- At the NCAA Championships, ran 8:42.78 in the 3,000m steeplechase semifinal and recovered from an early fall in the final to run 8:57.30 and finish 12th in the final; also competed in the 5,000m run
Fifth year Senior
[edit]- Finished third (second collegian) in the 5,000-meter run at the Mt. SAC Relays, improving his PR to 13:37.56, which ranks No. 2 all-time at U-M
- Finished sixth and Ran 8:28.77 as the only collegian in the field at Stanford's Payton Jordan Invitational to come under the Olympic Standard, running an NCAA-leading time
- Scored 20 points, the most of any U-M athlete at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships (May 14-15) by taking the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a facility record 8:37.67,and 5K in 14:06.74 races
- Won an NCAA title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, setting a new PR of 8:27.16 to solo the race and earn his fifth career All-American honor

- Ran the 1600 meter leg (3:55) of the school record breaking distance medley relay at the Alex Wilson Invitational, helping the team to a third place finish
- Successfully defended his 5,000-meter title in 13:50.81 at the Big Ten Championships, and also scored with a fourth-place finish in the 3K race
